A working Mac path does exist, but not off the stock bottle: independent reports reach high and stable framerates only by using a Windows XP 64-bit bottle together with unofficial patch 1.0008, a replacement LuaJIT library and snd_acceleration switched off, with one M1 Pro measurement of 60 to 80 fps at 1280x800 on ultra under CrossOver 22.11. The GOG release is the one that installs cleanly; the CD release still expects the disc. Recorded as runs rather than broken because a documented route works, and rather than playable because the default install does not launch. ProtonDB reports platinum at 0.88 across 165 reports.
