An independent AppleGamingWiki verification dated 7 April 2026 is harsher: on a 32 GB M2 Pro running macOS 26.5, neither the release nor the Preview build of CrossOver 26 would start the game, with both the Steam and non Steam versions tried and the WebView2 workaround from Proton guides applied. Proton reports sit at Gold, 61 percent over 892 reports, so the gap is macOS specific rather than a Wine limitation. Expect setup work and no guarantee of reaching gameplay. Steam lists no macOS build.
